Hello all -

I am heartsick at the recent wave of suicide bombings that has effectively sabotaged negotiations for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  The events of the past few days will make it hard for Israeli moderates to counter the hawks (never mind press for inquiries into the deaths of peace activists like Rachel Corrie and the shooting of Tom Hurndall by an army sniper).  And the predictable reaction by Sharon will only win more sympathy for the extremists among Palestinians.  Gandhi said that an eye for an eye leaves the whole world  blind - I we humans can fully realize this while there are still some eyes left! An anonymous but wise person said, "Hate is easy - love takes courage."

Here's wishing you the courage to keep loving and waging peace.

Janet Eaton forwarded this link to exposing war profiteers in the US "War on Terror."  Each suit in the card deck represents a category of war profiteers: oil, gas, and energy companies; US government officials; military and defense contractors; and heads of industry, finance, media, policy, and hype. Individual cards have profiles of the profiteers and some have links to related websites e.g how to become involved in campaigns.
